The UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, adopted on December 13, 2006, by the United Nations General Assembly, ensures that children with disabilities enjoy all human rights on an equal basis with other children. Among these rights are play and sports, which are considered essential activities for psychophysical and motor development. Through movement, a child interacts with the world experientially, satisfying their need to do, learn, and explore. “Avanti tutti!”, the result of a partnership between Ormesa and Unione Ciclistica Foligno Start, aims to be a meeting point open to families and institutions based on a fundamental principle: children with special needs should have their right to play respected within a supportive and welcoming environment that allows them to socialize and engage with others in a creative, constructive, and purposeful manner. The goal is to contribute to the strengthening of a cooperative, aware, and stimulating community capable of generating empathetic relationships in which every child can freely define the path of their own subjectivity.
